Costs

Exeter Street Choir is an independent community singing project open to all irrespective of ability, disability, health, wealth or anything else.

This principle forms the backbone of everything we sing and do together.

The choir is funded entirely from what you pay weekly and this varies depending on what you can afford as follows :

Adults

£4 - At the moment I can afford this

£1 / £2 / £3 - I'm a bit tight for cash at the moment

£0 - Things are really tricky but I really want to sing in the street choir

Under eighteens

£2 - At the moment me and/or my family can afford this

£1 - Me and/or my family are a bit tight for cash at the moment

£0 - Things are really tricky for me and/or my family but I really want to sing in the street choir

Gigs

When we go out and sing at events unfortunately I have to charge something for my time. Community music is my full time employment and this includes time given to gigs as well as rehearsals. I seem to do about thirty community gigs a year at the moment so I'm sure you can appreciate that this means I have to be a little careful about my time.

Nine times out of ten event organisers can fund this cost but very occasionally I might have to ask for reduced subs from those singers who can afford it, just to cover my fuel, songsheet printing and a bit to cover my time.

This doesn't include special celebrations like a christmas party or very special charity gigs which I will often do for free or just for expenses if I can.
