Minehead Street Choir sings regularly on Tuesday evenings and welcomes adults who enjoy relaxed singing with the odd harmony in a friendly inclusive setting with no auditions. Lots of fuN

Our 2026 Community Singing Project

The choir has no religious or political affiliations but very importantly we share a belief in fairness and kindness to all, treating others as we would like to be treated ourselves, irrespective of religion and culture and specifically including those who might only be passing through for whatever reason at all. A place for us all to feel relaxed and welcome whatever the challenges of life. If you share those values you will feel at home in our choir : )

We currently meet Tuesdays at the United Reformed Church Hall, Irnham Road 7pm to 8.30pm. We sing some wonderful modern and traditional songs from the last thirty or forty years. Here's a few examples

No need to read music or anything like that. Our singing is from the heart, rock and indie favourites, soul, pop, plus some folk, and a little classical, opera and world music too from time to time.



Together since 2014, over the years we have raised thousands of pounds for local and national charities. Our most recent event at The Tithe Barn in March 24 singing with other choirs raised £900 for local foodbanks. £6.50 a session unless money is tight in which case just pay what you can afford.
